Executive Boar

Organization

The NACMID Board of Directors (B.O.D.) includes the following positions:

President (one-year term)
President-Elect (one-year)
Secretary (one-year)
Treasurer (3 years)
Past-President (one-year)
Industrial Representative (2 years)
State Directors (two from each state elected for 2 years)

The membership elects all positions except the President and Past-President. The B.O.D. meets at least four times a year usually on a Saturday from Noon until 4 PM. All members are invited to attend these meetings. The schedule is announced in the Fall Newsletter. The current membership of NACMID is over 500 persons!

In addition to elected positions, there are many committees that members may participate on such as the Internet Committee, Publications, Annual Meeting Program Committee, etc. All the members who work on committees or on the B.O.D. are volunteers and almost all of them have full-time jobs in clinical microbiology laboratories, industry or academia.
